LifeSmarts Sizzle Video Contest – Due 01/15/2026

 

LifeSmarts LifeSparks Team Achievement Award – 2025 Application UPDATED  – 2026 Information will be posted here in December

National LifeSmarts Championship Awards – Varsity   

  • The Florence Kelley Cup is awarded each year to the National LifeSmarts Champion.  Each National Champion team has their name inscribed on the trophy.

  • Scholarships are awarded to all students on four winning teams at the National LifeSmarts Championship. 
    • 1st Place team (5 students) at $1500/each + Amazon gift card + Medallion
    • 2nd Place team (5 students) at $1000 /each + Amazon gift card + Medallion
    • 3rd place teams (10 students) at $750/each + Amazon gift card + Medallion
  • Additional Scholarships
  • Prizes are awarded to the top student in each individual topic assessment at the National LifeSmarts Championship.
    • Topic assessment winners in Consumer Rights & Responsibilities; Personal Finance; Technology & Workforce Preparation; Health & Safety; and Environment will receive gift card prizes.
      • These topic assessments are optional quizzes offered as part of the National LifeSmarts Championship for competing students who wish to take them.
  • Students and Coaches of the Year 
    • 2 students – Amazon gift card
    • 2 coaches – Amazon gift card
  • All team coaches (head coach only) Amazon Gift Card
  • Travel Stipends
    • We award $35,000 in travel stipends annually to teams competing in the National LifeSmarts Championship
    • These are awarded for community service and teaching outreach by the teams

National LifeSmarts Championship Awards – Junior Varsity

  • Swag bags for each JV team member sent to coach
  • Medallions for First, Second and Third place teams
  • LifeSmarts pins
  • Certificates for all teams, team members, and coach
  • Cash awards for first, second and two third place teams


State Awards
Awards vary by state but can include travel stipends, trophies and/or prizes and even scholarships. Check with your State LifeSmarts Coordinator for additional information.

Other Recognitions

Students and coaches can also earn smaller prizes, such as gift cards, by participating in other LifeSmarts contests. These include:

  • The T-shirt contest at the National LifeSmarts Championship
  • The social media contest(s) at the National LifeSmarts Championship
  • The pin design contest at the National LifeSmarts Championship
  • Other special contests as part of the National LifeSmarts Championship

Special Opportunities

Cash prizes are awarded to the top-scoring teams in the LifeSmarts FBLA Challenge, the BPA Personal Finance Challenge and Technology & Workforce Preparation Challenge, the FCCLA/LifeSmarts  Knowledge Bowl, the LifeSmarts 4-H Online Summer Challenge, and the LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge.
