October 1 – 31 – October LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl Preparatory Quiz

Are you an advisor/coach or a member of a SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl team?
Compete in the October LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl Preparatory Quiz to prepare for the LifeSmarts topic questions in the SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl. Top scoring teams receive cash awards! 

How to Compete :

To compete in the LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl Preparatory Quiz, Team Coaches (chapter advisers) should register at: https://competition.lifesmarts.org/register

  • Coaches, if you have registered previously, just log in and follow the instructions here.  You will have the option to create new teams or adjust any current teams you already have online.
  • Important: Make sure your team type is set to SkillsUSA QB and either Varsity (Grades 9-12) or Junior Varsity (Grades 6-8).
  • The Coach designates one student as the team captain. First, the team captain must register at the above location and join the team you have established. 
  • The SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl Preparatory Quiz will only be available to the team captain. The team captain logs in between October 1 – 31, then clicks their “Quizzes” tab on the left side of the page, then the folder labeled “SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl Preparatory Quiz”. 
  • The Captain opens the folder to find the quiz and the team works together to complete the quiz. 
  • Only the captain is required to register and log in for the competition.  However, all student team members will benefit by registering and joining the team(s) you have established in order to take practice quizzes, the daily quiz, and use the free LifeSmarts study tools that are available. This also makes the team eligible to participate in other LifeSmarts competitions, events, scholarships, and awards!
  • If a student has previously registered with LifeSmarts, please remind them to update their student profile to their current grade, age, etc., and check to be certain they are on the correct team for this year. Or the team coach can choose to make this update for their students.

November 1 – 30 – LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge for SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl Teams

Compete in the November LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge Quiz to gain knowledge in preparation for state and National SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowls. Top scoring teams receive cash awards! LifeSmarts Health & Safety questions are included in the National SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl each year.

LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge Details: 
LifeSmarts is providing an opportunity for teams of  four SkillsUSA members to test their knowledge and compete against other SkillsUSA teams in the LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge. The competition is great practice for the SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl.  From November 1 – 30th, 2025, high school aged SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl teams / members can participate as a team by completing an online Health & Safety quiz consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions. The top scoring teams in the competition will earn cash prizes!

Varsity and Junior Varsity LifeSmarts
SkillsUSA teams can also compete in Varsity LifeSmarts (grades 9 – 12) or Junior Varsity LifeSmarts (grades 6-8).  LifeSmarts teaches Health & Safety, Technology & Workforce Preparation, Environment, Consumer Rights & Responsibilities, Personal Finance, Leadership and more through fun activities and online and in-person competitions. SkillsUSA chapters, SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl Teams, SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl teams and all SkillsUSA members are invited to participate in state and national LifeSmarts championships.
