LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge Details:
LifeSmarts is providing an opportunity for teams of 4 SkillsUSA members to test their knowledge and compete against other SkillsUSA teams in the LifeSmarts SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge. The competition is great practice for the SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl. From November 1 – 30th, 2024, high school aged SkillsUSA members can participate as a team by completing an online Health & Safety quiz consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions. The top scoring teams in the competition will earn cash prizes!
HOW TO COMPETE:
To compete in the Health & Safety Challenge, Team Coaches (chapter advisers) should register at: https://competition.lifesmarts.org/register
- Coaches. if you have registered since the fall of 2022, just log in and follow the instructions here. You will have the option to create new teams or adjust any current teams you already have online.
- Important: Make sure your team type is set to SkillsUSA HKB and to Varsity or Junior Varsity
- The Coach designates one student as the team captain. The team captain must register at the above location and join the team you have established.
- The Health & Safety Challenge quiz will only be available to the team captain. The team captain logs in between November 1 – 30, then clicks their “Quizzes” tab on the left side of the page, then the folder labeled “SkillsUSA Health & Safety Challenge”.
- The Captain opens the folder to find the quiz and the team works together to complete the quiz.
- Only the captain is required to register and log in for the competition. However, all student team members can benefit by registering at the above location and joining the team(s) you have established in order to take practice quizzes, the daily quiz, and to participate in other LifeSmarts competitions, events, scholarships, and awards!
- If a student has previously registered with LifeSmarts, please remind them to update their student profile to current grade, age, etc. and check to be certain they are on the correct team for this year.

We also invite SkillsUSA chapters, SkillsUSA Health Knowledge Bowl Teams, SkillsUSA Quiz Bowl teams and all SkillsUSA members to participate in state and national LifeSmarts competitions.
- Four- or five-person teams compete online with the chance to advance to the National LifeSmarts Championship in San Diego, CA, in April 2024!
- Teams must complete the online qualification quizzes before their state’s online closing date
