LifeSmarts offers High School participants numerous opportunities to give back in their communities: Students can their younger peers about over-the-counter medicine safety.
OTC Medicine Safety Mentoring Project
The OTC Medicine Safety Mentoring Project is designed with LifeSmarts students in mind, and based on educational materials from Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. The project promotes safe medicine storage, safe use of OTC medicine, and understanding the Drug Facts label. High school students demonstrate leadership by teaching middle school students and their peers about medicine safety. The lesson is easy to adapt to classroom, club, and community settings.
