Hawaii LifeSmarts online competition starts on November 1, 2025.

LifeSmarts, the Ultimate Consumer Challenge, is a FREE consumer education competition open to teens in grades
6-12.

The competition tests students on their knowledge of:

Personal Finance
Health and Safety
Environment
Technology
Consumer Rights and Responsibilities

Take a practice quiz and see if you’re ready for the ultimate consumer challenge. Gather your friends and form a team. Each team needs an adult sponsor or coach.

Students statewide are welcome to register a team from public, private, home, charter and alternative schools, as well as clubs and youth organizations. Schools/Clubs may enter multiple teams under one coach.

Varsity | High School Competition (grades 9-12) Online Competition

Registration opens August 1, 2025
Online Competition opens November 1, 2025
Online Competition closes December 5, 2025 (7pm HST)

Junior Varsity | Middle School Competition (grades 6-8) Online Competition

The online State LifeSmarts Championship Quiz will be 3/9/2026– 3/13/2026

Top four (4) Varsity level school/teams will be invited to compete in the Hawaii State LifeSmarts Championship
