COMING THIS WINTER!
LifeSmarts Get Digital mentorship program – sponsored by Meta
LifeSmarts makes it rewarding for students to share the expertise they gain by participating in the program. LifeSmarts service learning projects make it easy and enjoyable for high school students to communicate their consumer knowledge with new audiences at schools, clubs, and throughout the community.
Through this new project, the LifeSmarts Get Digital mentorship program — sponsored by Meta, LifeSmarts engages high school mentors to educate younger students and older community members about staying safe online and using technology and social media so that personal information is kept secure.
Educational resources include:
- A lesson for high school students to gain a deeper understanding of their own digital footprint, the risks of identity theft, and staying safe online.
- A second lesson to guide mentors as they introduce these important concepts to younger students.
- Community outreach materials and guides to be used at virtual or live community events and shared with target audiences.

Wild Card teams attending the National LifeSmarts Championship in Washington, DC, in April 2022, will pilot the project, becoming LifeSmarts Get Digital mentors, sharing expertise in their communities, and providing feedback to the program.
