LifeSmarts makes it rewarding for students to share the expertise they gain by participating in the program. LifeSmarts service learning projects make it easy and enjoyable for high school students to communicate their consumer knowledge with new audiences at schools, clubs, and throughout the community.
- OTC Medicine Safety Mentoring Project: LifeSmarts invites students to help their communities understand the Drug Facts label, safe medicine storage, and the safe use of OTC medicine. LifeSmarts provides a lesson for high school students to gain a deeper understanding of OTC medicine safety, and a lesson for mentors to use with younger students to introduce the topic. The lesson is easy to adapt to classroom, club, and community settings.
