LifeSmarts… the Ultimate Consumer Challenge
LifeSmarts is a fast and fun online competition available to all US students in 6th-12th grade. Students in 9th-12th grade compete in the Varsity program, students in 6th-8th grade compete in the Junior Varsity program.
Teams begin competition online using the practice tools available through this Web site. Teams who qualify can advance to in-person state competitions organized by the state’s coordinator. Varsity state champions are invited to the national LifeSmarts championship.
The LifeSmarts online competition is available from mid-September through February. Closing dates vary by state, so check your state program dates for details.
Qualifying teams are invited to state competitions
After online competition has concluded, the top-scoring teams will be invited to the in-person live state finals. Teams must have at least four players that have completed all three levels of competition.
If your state does not currently have a state coordinator, or if your state does not have a live JV competition, your team may still compete online. For Varsity teams without a state competition, NCL will conduct a virtual state competition, and the winning team will represent your state at the national competition.
