Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Georgia’s first in-person state LifeSmarts tournament. Teams from across the state convened in Athens at the University of Georgia to face off in both varsity and JV competitions. While the ladies of Clarke County kept things close through the first half of the Challenge Round, the defending champions from Douglas County 4-H stormed through the second half in a 186-131 victory. And in a JV competition so close, even they didn’t realize they were winners, Gwinnett County 4-H juniors proved they’ll be a force to reckon with for years. As you’ll see in the photos, everyone had a great time seeing these teens and pre-teens show off their consumer smarts!
Thanks again to Georgia 4-H and the Georgia United Credit Union for making this event possible, and for supporting Douglas County as they continue their quest to the National Championship!
